  1. Many stories are told locally about leipreachans. The leipreachans are about one foot in height. The leipreachan, as we are told, wears a scarlet cap and a coat of green. He lives in dark lonely places and he is usually seen under a mushroom. Shoemaking is his usual occupation. He wears shoes with pointed toes. The leipreachan is said to have a crock of gold. Many stories are told of people trying to catch him but failed.
    One night a man was coming home from the market and he heard (the) a noise like the ticking of a watch. He was sitting in a cart. He came out of the cart and looked inside the fence and there to his surprise
