    Mr. T. Burke's brother, Dreenlomane, and Mrs. C Donovan used to find the "four leaf shamrock" very often. They were very lucky as a result.

  2. Thatching:-
    A famous local thatcher was a man named John Coughlan of Cashelane. The man who did the thatching for my Grandmother's people was Michael Nugent of Libeen whose descendants even the present generation are famous thatchers.

    Nail-making:-
    Horse-shoe nails were made in all the local forges fifty years ago but they are not made now.

    Churn-making:-
    The only local churn-makers were the Sheehens of Currydorgan. One of these called "Jack the Cooper" still makes and mends churns.
