  2. The old people say that about the year 1868 or around that time a terrible fever broke out amongst the people of which many of them died. After their deaths a man was sent from the Board to burn the house. One man by the name of John Minihan from Coomhola burned a house in Coomerkane after a man and his wife died. Another house was burned in Magannegan
