    while the throw is taking place, & if the thrower succeeds in knocking to the ground this standing stick his team will start backing & the opposing team will run to overtake them.
    Each running player will follow his opposite no. who is backing & on catching him will give him "a lift" on his back, back to the nearer line. For that reason opposite nos. of about the same size & age ar chosen, to carry one another.
    The successful player then gets another throw & if he manages to knock the target his team will again proceed helter-skelter backwards -
