    Funny Story:-
    "One day a sturgeon was thrown ashore on Bannc a Ghainnimhe[?] there in front of the house - (Dan's old house was built almost on the strand in Garnish & was the only one almost within a mile of it till Mr Dudley built the P.O. there) - & I often heard that you could get oil out of him only to boil him. A couple of lads came the way & we said we'd shove down a boat & tow him over farther where we could pull him up the strand asier.
    I tied one end of a mooring-rope to his tail & brought the rest of it in & left it coiled on the back sheet of the boat.
