    days as before. Where has the water gone is our next question and some one says
    Back to where it came from" But to make the mystery more strange this is not the case.
    Coming into the quarry the water must come from a higher level. When the water is found to be leaving the quarry, at the same time there is a spring about one hundred yards away, but on a lower level. The water from this spring shoots like a fountain and ceases to spring when the quarry is empty. So we can say to ourselves that there is a strange happening in our own district which no one takes time to think of.
