  1. There are many place names in this town and district whose names are not to be found in the map.
    We have names for wells. pools, boíthríní etc. I shall give a few of these here.
    Wells.
    1. The Croppies' Well is situated in the Windmill,
    2. Harrington's Well is situated in Upper Bridge St
    3. Guggy's Well is situated in Upper Bridge St.
    Poles and holes (1) The Soldier's Hole, is near the town park back of Mr Kearney's shop, in the river Ilin
    (2) The Rock Hole is also in the river Ilin, up by the Weirs in Mr Jack Coughlan's land
