    About two miles from this school there are two big stones standing perpendicularly about sixteen feet in height known as the galans.

    found that she was not able to find her way out, but all the same she continued walking round and round the field for hours until she was tired out. Then she sat down in a dazed condition until morning.
    She had lost her sense of direction and did not know which way to turn to go home but at daybreak she soon came to herself and was able to leave the field and go home safely.

    Some years ago there were no creameries in the country and the farmers made their butter in their own dairies.

    Some years ago there were no creameries in the country and the farmers made their butter in their own dairies. When the cows were milked the people used to put the milk into earthenware pans of similar material to our flower pots. Those pans were glazed inside to keep the milk from soaking into them and from getting sour. The milk was left two or three days in the pans.
