  1. Mr. John Greevy told me that there was an old church in Kilgariff in former years. There was another church in Cloonard and there is a grave yard there now.
    There is an old castlerea? at the back of Castlerea town which is known as Sanford's castle. I former years this castle belonged to the Sanford family but now it belongs to the towns council. There are several families living in it. There is another old castle in Cloonalis in the townland of Castlerea.
