  1. Every year there are at least one or two storms in this district. The storm generally take place in Autumn about the month of October or in early Spring.
    I cannot obtain any accurate account of any great storm in this district. I have heard an account of a great storm which occurred in the year 1926. It lasted for a whole night. No damage was done to dwelling houses but some roofs were blown off sheds. In one place in this district a roof was blown off a cow-shed and many cattle were killed.
    I cannot find any account of the Big Wind of 1839 in this district.
    This district has suffered a lot from thunderstorms during the last years. There was a great storm which is kept in memory by the people. This thunderstorm occurred about 40 years ago probably in the
