A Story
“Here is a story I heard from Mrs Kelly about Fr O'Connor's well.”
Here is a story I heard from Mrs Kelly about Fr O’Connor’s well.In Portlaoighise in Co Laoighis there was a crowd of men working in a field and the boss was so hard that he would not let the men get a drink from a near by well, one day a priest was passing Fr O’Connor P.P. was the Priest and the men told the Priest there wish and he said I will give ye a drink in a few moments, the Priest struck his heel in the ground and a lovely spring well sprung and he blessed it. And the well is now called Fr O’Connor’s well.- Collector
