  1. A Holy Well
    In Cramogue, about a mile beyond Mountrath, there is a beautiful Holy Well, called "St. Fintan's Well." Many people visit it still and cures have been obtained from using the water in it.
    A man who lives near us,, Mr. Moore was totally blind in one eye. With the other he could see a little. A doctor operated on one eye - the eye which he could see a little, but all in vain.
    When he came home, he went to this Well three times and bathed his eyes in the water.
    He has improved gradually since and it is the eye which is altogether blind that he can see with. The other one which the doctor tried to cure has not improved.
