  1. 1) Mass was celebrated in "Delaney's Rath" at Tinnaragh (Tigh na Ratha i.e. the house of the Rath) near the village of Clough. A priest, named Father Phelan is believed to have been killed by the priest-hunters when he was making his thanksgiving after celebrating Mass in the Rath. A whitethorn marks the spot where this priest was executed and it is still called "The Monument Bush".

    2) Mass was celebrated on the hill behind Mr. William Connor's house at Court, Clough.

    3) Mass was celebrated in Spooner's "Rath-field" in Bordwell.
