- 1) Mass was celebrated in "Delaney's Rath" at Tinnaragh (Tigh na Ratha i.e. the house of the Rath) near the village of Clough. A priest, named Father Phelan is believed to have been killed by the priest-hunters when he was making his thanksgiving after celebrating Mass in the Rath. A whitethorn marks the spot where this priest was executed and it is still called "The Monument Bush".
