  2. To cure sore eyes, old people used to take a potato and quarter it then grate the heart very fine. They then put the gratings between two pieces of muslin and left it on for fifteen minutes. They did this for three successive days.
    To cure Rheumatism old people used to bathe the afflicted parts in potato water before going to bed.
    To cure burns mix melted lard, beeswax and resin, then put it on a cloth and apply to the burn.
