  2. I have been cured of warts by a woman who used nine knots from straws, she is Mrs Collier, Ballytarsna, Borris-in-Ussory. She made the sign of the cross nine times with each knot on each wart, having done this she buried the knots and said that when they decayed the warts would go. About four months later the warts went. This woman has taken warts off cattle also.
    In Kyle graveyard a cross stands under which it is believed a man is buried who was hanged for selling a horse for more than five pounds in the penal days.
