    There is a bush in Cannycourt and it is called the cuckoo bush because the cuckoo used to come and sit on it every year.
    There is a hollow in the Curragh and it is called the priests hollow because a priest used to say Mass in it in the penal days.
    There is a field called the cock-pit field in Moorhill because there used to be cock-fighting in it long ago.
