    If you spill salt you will have bad luck.
    If a knock is heard at the door and nobody at it, it is a warning of death.
    If your left hand is itchy it is a warning you are going to receive money.
    If here is a tick heard in the wall and anyone sick in the house they call it the dead watch but it is only a little beetle chewing at the wood.
    If you get two spoons in your cup it is a sign of a christening.
    If you meet a man or a woman with red hair you will have bad luck.
    If you meet a person's wraith on the road it is a sure sign he will die soon.
    If you meet one magpie you will have good luck.
    If you meet three it is a sign of a marriage.
    To meet a weasel is a sign of bad luck.
    If a coal falls out of the fire you will have a visitor.
    If there is a person sick in the house and the beansidhe is heard it is a warning he will die.
    A straw hanging to a hen's tail is a sign of a visitor.
    If a black cat crosses your path it is a sign of bad luck.
    If the rooster crows in the middle of the night it is a sign of bad luck.
    If you hear a bell in your ear it is a sign of a death.
    If you talk to a spirit you will die soon after.
    If you cross water on Whit Sunday you will have bad luck.
