Liam Mac Óda 1937 - John Holohan (Newtown) Jer Kavanagh Balyring and Jim Corcoran Balief chief thatchers in district. Only one of these Kavanagh has it "handed down".
Oaten straw and wheaten straw used. Wheaten supposed to be the better of the two. Scallops of hazel used.
