  1. Here in Dunmore the people on arising look to see what part of the bush the robin is on. If the robin is at the bottom of the bush near the ground, the day will be wet.
    If the robin is up high at the top or near it; it is a sign of a good day.
    If in the morn sheep are seen lying down - resting, it is a sign of a good day. If on the other hand the sheep are grazing in the early morn it is a sign of rain coming on.
    If Crows stop in the rook it is a sign of a storm.
    If crows fly high at Evening time it is a sign of a good day to follow.
    If the smoke goes up straight out of chimney it is a sign of a good day.
    If a dog Eats grass it is a sign of rain or if he sleeps it is a sign of rain
