  1. I often head that there was money hidden on Glenpipe HIll about two hundred yards up the hill from the back of my own house. A man named John Kennedy from Glenpipe was cutting furze on the hill when he got a spear or a sword or something of that kind stuck in the ground. He took it home with him to his brother-in-law James Whelan (who is still alive) and the two of them went back to look for the spot where he got the spear but they could not find it. I often heard it said that you must be able to see the
