    some people, but was known as Carding. It was done with combs and
    Basket Making (crossed out)
    There was a great trade in basket making (crossed out)
    the material which they got from it was the same as what they got from the hackler.
    It was then spun with a spinning-wheel which was driven with the foot, and fed from a bundle called rock. This produced a very fine thread from the flax. This thread was then wound on a hand reel, and about every two pound was called a skein. These skeins were then washed and dried, and it was then stretched.
    The skeins were then passed on to a weaver to convert it into cloth. There was generally one weaver in the locality. When the linen cloth
