    On little Christmas night twelve rush candles are procured and stuck into a round cake of cow's manure.
    Each member of the family chooses a candle for himself. The candles are then lighted and during this the Rosary is recited.
    Each person watching constantly his candle causes great excitement when the first candle burns out as there is a superstitious remark "The candle that burns out first is the person to die first in the house."
