    The iron-works in Ariana long ago
    The people of Ireland were never united, and if each person tried to help his fellow-man Ireland would be a different country to what it is today.
    Long ago there were many industries around my locality, the principal being the iron-works in Ariana Co. Roscommon. Those iron-works would be a boon to the country if Cox (the manager) was not murdered; and likely enough when he was slain the iron-works were suspended. Some of this iron which was found in Ariana was smelted at the "Furnace Hill" near Drumshanbo,
