    Old Marriage Customs
    The people round my locality have many strange and mysterious old marriage customs but yet there is something cheerful and bright about them. In my district marriages are sometimes love affairs and in other cases especially where the Groom holds a farm or some position his Bride has to receive a dowry either in money or in stock. A certain day being appointed for the marriage arrangments are made as regards dress, marriage breakfast etc. On the morning of the wedding
