  1. In olden days doctors were not as plentiful as at present and people used herbs to cure their ailments.
    Raspberry leaves and bogbean cures rheumatism. Popular bark cures sciatica. Parsley piert, dogs grass and cleavers cure kidney trouble. Scullcap and Dandelion herb cures a head ache.
    There is an Spa and it was very famous in olden times as a blood tonic. It is about two miles from Johnstown and now people bring home the water and take it three times a day because it is counted one of the best blood tonics in Ireland.
