Once upon a time there lived a man and his wife not far off a fort called Shantally Fort near Middletown in the Co Armagh and this night a fairy stole this man's wife, and one night afterwards his wife came back and told him she was getting married to one of the fairies & she told him to watch out for her the next night and they would be coming down this big field on horses and that she would be on the first big white horse in front and for him to hold
