Near my home in the Townland of Bondville is a fort named 'Knookban'.

Near my home in the townland of Bondville is a fort named Knockbane. It is now grown over with grass and there is a circle of rushes. A palm tree grows on each side of it. On November Eve each year, the fairies dance in it. If there is a marriage in the townland a big fire or light is seen in the fort of Knockbane.
