    The cure for mumps is to put your head into a ponys winkers or head stall and get somebody to lead you to a well and home again.
    The cure for toothache is to get somebody to give you three slaps on the face.
    The cure for sore eyes is to get some child whose father and mother are living to prick your eye ten times with thorns of the gooseberry bush.
    The cure to warts is to go to the nearest stream, put your hand in it and keep it there one hour, then take it out and dry it well and next day the warts will be better.
