  1. One night Patrick Connolly was coming home from his work and he had to pass by Gartlona fort. While he was going over the fort he saw a very small wee man standing beside him with a broken churn-staff in his hand and he asked Patrick to mend it. The little fairy says "I would'nt ask you only I think you are a trades-man because you have a lot of carpenter tools with you. So Patrick said he would mend it. When he was finished mending it the little fairy gave him bread and butter.
    Long ago Tom McMahon lived convenient to "Beggans fort" in Corsillago and he was terrible well off. He had twelve cows and thirty acres of land. There was a big wall around this fort and Tom
