    and whiskey were passed around as well as pipes and tobacco and snuff. Story- telling, tracing up relations , and very often match-making are caried on during the night of the wake. In the morning they get ready for the funeral. Not a button or a fastening should be left unopened. At every cross road they came to, they left the coffin down and started caoining. The corpse was usually buried with the feet towards the west.
