    Houses were a lot more numerous in former times that they are now. There are only three ruins remaining now. Some of the people emigrated to America and others to England.
    This townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. There is about half of the land in bog and the rest in good rich land. There is one good stream which drains Carrowreagh bog and flows into the lake in Moylough.
