  1. My Father's farm is situated in the townland of Knockbrack, in the parish of Castleconnor, in the county of Sligo, and in the barony of Tireragh.
    It is only a small village with seven houses in it, three slated, two galvanised and the other two thatched. They are all new houses. Knockbrack got its' names from the speckled hill that is in it. The farms are divided into thirty five acres each.
    Knockbrack was also a place where the black-and-tans used to come into very often. There was a place in our own field where there was a house under the ground. The people used to go down
