    them. It is not lucky to put on one shoe and lace it before putting on the other one.
    The old people never believed in putting an addition to the west end of a house. It is very unlucky to interfere with a "Fairy Fort". It is a very lucky sign to put your clothes on back to front by mistake. If when playing cards you put a pin in your coat it is believed to bring you luck. If you put a horse-shoe nail in your coat you would never see a Ghost. The colour green is very unlucky for some families. If you ever went astray in a field you would find your way if you turned your coat our your cap.
    These superstitions were told to me by an old lady of seventy years. her name is :-
