  2. The most harmful weeds growing on farms in this district are "buchalauns" and rushes.
    Whins or gorse can be seen growing on other farms. They are harmful because they impoverish the soil and they spread rapidly. Clover is looked upon as growing only where land is good. Rushes are only formed in poor land. A medicine for colds is made locally from mountain sage. It is boiled for about
