    dry leaves and as many as fourteen white eggs are laid. The eggs are just like pullet's eggs. All the others I mentioned build their nests on the ground too, the larger ones sometimes hide their nests under clumps of whin bushes. They do not take as much pains with them as do out smaller song birds.
    Boys are told that if they rob a bird's nest the bird withh foresake it, and thrushes and blackbirds curse you if you rob their nest.
