    The four best oarsmen in Strandhill long ago were Michael Burns, Joe Kivlehan, Jimmy Mac Loughin and Jack Kelly. They had a boat between them. Once they won a race in Rosses Point. Jimmy Howley Owen Flannery were also good oarsmen here.
