Bird Lime
First the hunter chooses a spot where he knows his favourite birds are. He brings with him some birdlime and a bird in a cage. This bird is called a decoy bird. He places the cage in a convenient place where he knows his and on each side of the cage he places some sticks to act as perches for the birds. These perches are well covered with lime. The decoy bird calls out and the other birds gather round it When the perch on the sticks their feathers get caught in the birdlime and they are held on the perches until the hunter comes. This method was also practised for catching pheasants. A hoop was fixed in a large bag which was plastered inside with birdlime. The pheasants favourite food was placed in the bag and when the pheasant went into the bag to eat the food his feathers stuck to the sides of the bag and it was help there until the hunter came.
