- Long ago there lived in the townland of Rusheen a farmer named O'Connor. Every morning one of his cows had no milk. One morning he watched if any one was milking the cow, and he saw a hare milking her.
The farmer went home and told some of the neighbouring men about the hare. On the following morning the men brought dogs with them. They saw the hare coming, and no sooner had the dogs seen him when they followed him for about a half a mile across the fields.
