    are got and they are boiled, they are then peeled and left until they are cold Then you get a few big potatoes they are washed and peeled. They are then grated and wrung out. The cold potatoes that were boiled are mashed and mixed up with the grated potatoes. Salt and flour is mixed up with it. It is then made into a cake and put into an oven and baked. It an be made at any time of the year but especially at hallow-Eve and Christmas. Sometimes people put a ring into the boxty cake at Halllow Eve.
