    over his store of gold. He asked the magpie where he got it. The magpie showed him a cave, but he warned him not to touch the gold. The blackbird promised that he would not and went into the cave all about him were great lumps of gold. At last he came to a place where there was a great lot of gold dust. The temptation was too great for the blackbird so he pecked at it. A cloud arose around him he was very frightened so he shrieked. Ever after his bill was yellow and when you come on him suddenly he always shrieks.
