    When we came from America first, we went to live for a year in Roscahill near Ucterard.

    river which wends its way gently into the Corrib. But strange to say beneath that smoothe surface on the sandy bottom lie the countless bones of the enemy who were let drop through a trapdoor at the bottom of the castle into the river.
    At the mouth of this river there is a number of little islands and as the legend goes since The O'Flaherty died every year amidst these appears another island.
