  1. Gleann Laigean
    There is a glen situated in Lissacarra which is supposed to be blessed by Saint Paitrick.
    He, on his journey from Croagh Patrick to Glenamaddy remained here a week.
    During this period he read Mass in the glen each day. At night, instead of sleeping, he went to a rock, that can be seen here yet, and it is said, that as he knelt here in prayer, he left the tracks of both his knees on the rock. These tracks can be seen at the present day.
    When he was about to leave the glen he blessed it and during the penal times the people of the neighbourhood heard Mass here each Sunday and it is believed that the above mentioned rock was used as an altar.
