  1. Long ago the young boys and adults used to walk six or seven miles to play another Parish or townland in football. They used to go across fields and hedges kicking the football from field to field and running after it. They always brought a trainer with them and every match ended up in a row. He told me that he and a crowd of boys went to Leitrim village to play them. They brought their lunch with them and ate it coming back.
