The people used to peel potatoes and grate them and ring them and leave the juice to settle. Then they strained off the water and boiled the remains which formed starch and this they used for starching clothes.(continues on next page)
- Dying was also very customary in this district. The people boiled herbs - moss, barks of trees, briar leaves and ivy. First they got a pot of water and pu the dying material into it and brought it(continues on next page)
