    This leaf was pounded with fresh butter and rubbed on in the form of an ointment.
    A cure for a sprained ankle is handed down from father to son and is only known by certain families. It is kept secret, but a flax thread is tied around the ankle and while doing so certain prayers are said by the giver of the cure. The string is to be left on and under no condition can it be taken off. This cure is known to be veru effective and possessed to day by a few old men in the adjoining districts. Glenaniff and
