    used the water for drinking and no other purpose. He kept it free from all trespass.
    The well is still in Georges field. It is surrounded on 3 sides by a heap of stones brought there by "ones" who paid round to it. There are a few shrubs growing to the south of it and a few big stones lying flat in the ground which makes belief that there once stood a monastery in this place.
    It hasnt been visited during the memory of the oldest people in Dartry. There is no saint mentioned in connection with it. The rosary was recited or given by those who visited it.
    The well had for a long time been the doctor of the sick. People who came to it for cures
