    the year seventeen hundred and seventy nine and the writing was seemingly written in Irish.
    Luke White the first Landlord of Dartry is buried in this graveyard. A large square stone is placed over his grave and on it is the following inscription
    Sacred
    To the memory of Luke White, Esq. of Lareen in this county. Who departed his life on the 19th of August 1854 in the 69th year of his age. Deeply regretted by his numerous friends.
