    or going out working in the fields brought an oaten farrel with them to keep away the hunger.
    The common meat eaten that time was beef and mutton while sometimes the men went out and brought back hares and rabbits which they cooked and ate. The vessels used in those days were not the same as the cups and jugs we have now they were leaden vessels called pewter.
