    is a big flag in the ruins bearing all particulars of when the family came to Mount-Bellew.
    The game was preserved and the gamekeepers looked after them during the year and anyone who was caught interfering with the game was heavily fined.
    The land was divided into holdings of twenty acres and given to the tenants. The farms were sub-divided among member of the family who married.
    The landlord did not exercise any power over his tenants. Tithes were collected in money.
