    In former times the houses in this locality were thatched with either straw or rushes. The straw was procured from the g grown locally. Sometimes when wheat was grown locally the wheaten straw was used for the thatch. This thatch lasted year's longer than any other straw or rushes.
    All the old house's had one bedroom, and some houses had no bedroom except for a tiny shed which was built at the
